Nap? I don't need no stinking nap!

Good morning everyone! At least the sun is shining over here today, yesterday was rainy and super gloomy. Granted we need the rain, but I hate all the doom and gloom that goes with it. Yesterday was...well interesting I guess is the best way to describe it. Neither of the kids wanted to take a morning nap. Aaron finally caved, but Jill ended up waking him up. I still haven't figured out what's worse, Aaron not napping or being woken up from a nap. They also decided that lunch was optional. Awesome! I think they are in their picky stage now. Awesome again! We ran over to Target in between rain showers to get Jill some new shoes. I'm starting to think her feet are soaking in a bucket of water at night and just magically jumping sizes. That's the only explanation I have for it right now. The Target by my house was pretty well picked over in the shoe department so I just grabbed her a pair of white sandals. I may just have to suck it up and go to Babies R Us for more shoes. I'm not a Babies R Us fan, in case you couldn't tell, but for cute footwear I will suck it up. I need to go to the Stride Rite outlet that's by us and find the kids some good shoes for when the start walking. Back on topic now...so we got home and Aaron finally took a nice long nap. Not Jill though, she got a 10 minute power nap in the car so she was good. I do enjoy that time though, so I really can't complain. I love my one on one time with the kids. It's just nice to be able to give your undivided attention to just one of them and be able to really play with them. We got a good 30 minutes of peek a boo in. Jill's new thing now is to put her baby doll on top of the push toy and push the baby around the playzone. It's adorable! Here's a photo from over the weekend of her with the baby....
The day was much better after Aaron took his nap. It's always easier when one is well rested! The kids somewhat protested dinner too, I don't blame them though, that jarred food they had smelled like vomit. I wouldn't be excited about eating that either! But they did eat almost all of their fresh butternut squash, and Jill of course finished all of her kiwi.
In other news, my friend Dennis is now back from Iraq! WOO HOO! He's a Marine and has been over there for what seems like an eternity now, and he has been home for almost a week now. I do know that he is going to be deployed again, I think this summer which bites, but at least he is home now!
Hope you have a great day!

so cute! Lily loves to put her dog in the stroller and push it around too! It's so funny to see Jill standing up like that... our kids are usually strapped in when we see them:)

Litttle ones go through such funky stages with their sleeping/naps. I know how dependent you are on those naps...that's how I survived twins. You're right. It is nice getting that one on one time which does not happen often when you have multiples. I feel guilty about that a lot. Once I had a singelton, I realized how little individual time the twins got/get. None the less. Everyone is happy and loved.

Chumby and I frequently battle with naps....but she's 3. She doesn't realize that she's a much better girl after a nap, and not a trainwreck waiting to happen.

Babies with their baby-dolls are too much fun. Thanks for the Birthday wishes!!
