1st birthday party re-cap

So yesterday's party was most definitely a success, minus the Mojave/Sahara like temperatures (it was over 90 degrees, plus we were grilling...awesome). I think the kids had a good time, I know Scott and I did. The kids also made out like total bandits in the present department! The new joke is that we need to build an addition just to house all their toys (personally I think a Florida room on the back of the house would suffice, but I digress). The cake experience was...well an experience. Jill was all about it, she loved everyone fussing over her and smashing the cake everywhere (including the little hair that she has). She still smelled like butter cream this morning. Aaron was the polar opposite. He hated having the icing all over (even though it barely touched him) and was just not a fan overall. Here are some photos from the day, and when I say some I mean a whole lot so you may be here for a while...Jill's cakeAaron's cakeTracy, Jill and ChaseAll the kiddosIn their cozy coupesToo cute!Jill and Uncle Bob (they're buddies, he even danced with her)Half the presents were bigger than her!Aaron just chilled in his cozy coupeGroup shotThis is a family tradition where we put a rosary, half dollar and shot glass in front of the kidsRosary means you'll go into the clergy, half dollar means you'll be wealthy, and shot glass...well that's obvious right?Cake timeShe was so proud of herself! This picture sums up his feelings on cake...

We're heading to Magic Kingdom tomorrow with my parents to celebrate their birthday. Yay!!!!
