Day at the park

Yesterday we took the kiddos to the park by our house. We hadn't been to this park in a long time, so it was nice to go back and see what else the kiddos could play on. Too bad all that stuff was in direct sunlight, and you know how hot plastic gets in direct sunlight. So we just did some swinging and then took a walk to the pier to watch the boats. I'm not a fan of walking really slow on the boardwalk to get to the pier because there are HUGE banana spiders and webs everywhere, but when you have two one year old's setting the pace, it's going to take some time. Especially when they stop every foot to look at the webs (yuck-o). Jill was fascinated by the waves hitting the pier and Aaron was just excited to be able to run up and down the pier. Here are some photos and a quick video....

Today is going to be pretty chill, swimming, cookout and sparklers. Kaitlyn is coming over this morning to help me make cookies so that will be fun. I should start getting used to extra hands helping in the kitchen, right? I hope everyone has a very safe and happy 4th of July. And please make sure to think of all our troops who have made it possible to celebrate today!
