I've created little monsters

No really, I have. Something that started out as so innocent, so fun, is now something I wish I never started. What you ask could cause this regret? Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, that's what.

I downloaded this game for my kids to play on my phone (sigh, I know) because I was over finding Youtube videos for them to watch. They are both now obsessed. Yesterday, Aaron woke up from naps first so I let him play while I finished up some work (you can give me my mother of year award later, I'm so not dressed for it right now). We were doing well until Jill woke up and I tried to make them, God forbid, share. I know, I'm a horrible mother! The sharing didn't go over so well and the phone was then hidden.

Then last night before bed Jill asked to play the "ooh ahh! ooh ahh!" game. She also gestures like a monkey when asking, it's just so darn cute. Since Aaron got to play that afternoon, it was only fair to let Jill play that night. Apparently I was wrong. Aaron was not happy. He kept telling me that Jill had to share and that he wanted "more phone". Me too kid, I wish I had another phone so I could use it to I don't know, check all the emails I hear chiming in while you play the game.

Now onto this morning. Aaron asked the moment he got up if he could play the monkey game, he totally remembered I told him he could last night. So now Jill isn't happy that it's Aaron's turn, and Aaron is telling her to go away and go to the mat (clearly thinking about sharing deserves a time out). And me? Well, I'm just happy I made them a nice warm breakfast that is not being enjoyed.

I'm laughing about not being dressed to accept your mother of the year award. I'm adopting that line! :)

Our girls get really attached to certain little toys, and they get so possessive of them at times. There is a "girl" figure that came with some Little People blocks. They LOVE that figurine! I would just buy another, but I've looked and I can't find it sold separately...and I am not buying another complete set of blocks to get one. Forget the 1,001 other toys - many much "cooler" in my opinion - they want "GIRL!" as they say. :)
