Ok, so I'm kind of a Monica Geller

Scott likes to joke that I have OCD, I think I just have good sense, but whatever, semantics. He likes to say that I would call it CDO and not OCD because then the letters would be in the right order.

Anyway, I was talking to my MOM yesterday and we were talking about how we were both basically well adjusted normal women prior to getting married and having kids. Now we are both slightly neurotic and I am moments away from giving myself a great big hug in a white jacket on most days.

Now, I know I have weird quirks. For example, I cannot leave a room if the cabinet/drawer/anything really is slightly open. It has to be totally closed or I will obsess about it until it is closed (strange, I know). If part of your sleeve is turned up I will debate with myself, and subsequently not listen to what you are saying, on whether or not to reach over and fix it. The same goes for tags that stick out. In public restrooms when I wash my hands I have to push down on the paper towel thing 5 times, no more, no less. Seriously, I am borderline with having OCD.

So what is it that set me off yesterday? This....

Yes my friends, you are looking at a bottle of Powerade that has not even a sip left it in, in the fridge. I love my husband, I really do, but when he does this it makes me want to slam my head into a wall and scream "Why?!". I will say this though, he doesn't discriminate, he does this with tea, orange juice, well...any beverage really. Sometimes he will even move on to tubs of butter or jars of peanut butter. He's all about equal opportunity.

So why does this bother me so much? Well, quite simply, it's taking up space and chances are it will wind up in the back of the fridge and will not be rediscovered until I clean out the fridge. It makes me slightly manic. I know what you're thinking, throw it out, who cares? It's the simplest solution, however I don't want to waste that last sip. Seriously, I'm that cheap. So why don't I take that sip for the team? It grosses me out. I KNOW! I am married to the man, I kiss him, why can't I drink from a bottle he has? It grosses me out. I don't even like to share bottles of water with my kids. If they take a sip, I get a new bottle for myself.

Please tell me you are like this too. I don't care if you're lying at this point.

PS. Scott, you know I love you! Now drink that Powerade ;)

My husband does the same thing and it drives me nuts!! Especially with the milk. It seems like whenever he does this the kids want cereal.

This post is hilarious. My husband says the same stuff to me and I actually agree with a few of your "quirks".

Why the heck would he DO that? I spent way too many minutes staring at the photo contemplating that question...I just don't get it.

Plus, I like all labels to be forward, so there are two things completely wrong!

OMG! Wil does that ALL THE TIME. I constantly find empty containers of things in the fridge or cabinets and I hate it. Why? Why can't they just put things in the trash?
