Mommy and Me Monday: Sleigh Ride

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

Last night we went to Fort Wilderness for a "sleigh ride". Disney has a ranch back there and they do horse drawn carriage rides every night but for the holiday season they make the carriage look like a sleigh. I'll tell you what though, it was cold enough to be a sleigh ride last night. We had a late reservation, but because of the cold, many people canceled and we got to do our ride about an hour early. The kiddos loved the ride around the grounds and got to see a ton of lights. Some people really go all out back there. I'm glad we got to do this and am starting to think this may become a yearly tradition.

The laugh of the night definitely came from Jill. When we got to the Fort she asked where Dzia Dzio was because the last time we went there he was there. I told her that he's in Chicago and she spun her head around and said "What?!" I wish I could have gotten that on tape, it was hilarious!

Hoop Dee Doo

Last night the whole family went to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness. I love this show, it's so funny and keeps the kids entertained. Before the show though we got to hang out and check out the area. Jill loved seeing all of the horses and lights. Aaron was happy just running around the big porch.

Quite the group, no?

As soon as the show started Jill was hooked. Her eyes were pretty much as big as saucers the whole time. Both kids laughed, clapped and danced in their seats.

And it wasn't just the little kids that had fun, the big kids had just as much fun, especially after two glasses of Sangria (MOM).

Then there is one point in the show where they put on a pageant and ask for audience participation. Well, my niece Lorren volunteered and got to be the Can-Can Dancer. This was her second time playing this roll, maybe she will be a regular in the show some day?

But in all honesty watching her on stage was hilarious, she's such a goober.

Wasn't she great?! Ah memories....
