And then I began to sweat....

I have several fears. I have a fear of birds. extreme heights, white lizards and tight spaces (that's a small list by the way). None of those could cause me to break into a nervous sweat and have vicious heart palpitations like finding a sippy cup that I didn't know was missing.

I was picking up the playroom yesterday while the kids were napping and was looking for one of their sippy cups. When I found it I noticed something, something that didn't seem right. I saw a sippy in the toy basket. When I tell you I immediately broke into a sweat I am not exaggerating. I probably should have taken another shower, it was that bad. I couldn't remember the last time the kids used that cup, and I could have sworn I've washed all the sippys. I began to pray, you know the "Please God be water, please please God be water" as I approached the cup. After I picked it up I debated opening it. I held it to the window to see if I could tell the contents (because that works), I shook it to see if it sounded like curdled cottage cheese (no sound), then I mustered up all the courage I had and opened it....

I immediately dry heaved/possibly vomited in my mouth when the smell hit me. This cup had to have been there for days. The smell was worse than anything I have ever smelled before. For those of you that knew me when I was pregnant, I would rather smell calamari than what I smelled yesterday. Mold had already taken over the cup and looked like a science project. I may suffer post-traumatic stress from this, it was that bad.

I have spared you from a photo, mainly because I didn't want to relive the experience. I should get a medal or something, or a Snickers ice cream bar.
