Today has been an...interesting? Is that the word I want? Sure, interesting day. I spent most of my morning in the kitchen trying out some of the Sneaky Chef recipes (if you don't have these cookbooks you need to run, not walk, and get them). The kids love everything I have made so far from the books, Scott too come to think of it.
The rest of the day was pretty chill. The weather has been all over the place so we just hung out inside. I think we are all going stir crazy, what do you think?

The kids are really chatty lately. It seems like they are picking up new words everyday. The latest word? Amen! Seriously, it's hilarious. They got Precious Moments angels at their baptism that say "Now I lay me down to sleep" and we have been playing those all day, everyday. I'm a little sick of the prayer (do I have to confess that?), but it is cute when the kids go "Amen!" every time it finishes.
In not so cute news, my grandmother was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma a few weeks ago. I haven't talked about it until now because I wanted to make sure all of my family knew before they read it here. She's already had a few appointments with her oncologist and they have decided not to operate on account of her age (92 and kickin'). Right now they are trying to determine where it is coming from. I don't think she's going to do chemo or radiation, but they are going to try and make her as comfortable as possible. I have to say she is insanely lucky to have lived 92 years in relatively great health, she still lives on her own and does almost everything for herself, it's a shame that after 92 years this had to happen.
Now to lighten the mood, I have to tell you that my Dad somehow strained his Achille's tendon while doing the remodel in their bathroom, and from what my Mom has told me, he now walks around like this:
And yes, I intentionally picked the one where Martin was high. I wonder if he had just finished watching Alice in Wonderland with that G@d d@mn caterpillar? Food for thought....
