I don't know how many of you know about St. Baldrick's, but it is an amazing organization that raises money for childhood cancer research and begs the question, “How much would you donate for childhood cancer research to see me shave my head in solidarity with kids fighting cancer?”. The shavee's as they are called shave their head to show solidarity with the children that are effected by this terrible illness. My nephew Avery is participating this year. At just 14 he took it upon himself to be the first person in his class to volunteer, and make no bones about it, he is going bald, not buzzed, bald. He is doing all of this in honor of his friend who has suffered with leukemia since kindergarten.
I encourage all of you to take a moment and check out the St. Baldrick's site for more information, and to see if you can start an event in your area. Childhood cancer has hit our multiples community like none other it seems, and it would be amazing if we could celebrate these children by participating in this event.
If you would like to support my nephew please visit his fundraising site or leave an encouraging comment here for him to read. Wouldn't it be great if there were more kids like him?

Such a great cause. I am going to go check them out.
I am also starting a Friday's Featured Cause on my blog, if you'd be interested in posting over there.
