Scott and I just got back from our weekend in Tallahassee. It was our first weekend away from the kids, and it was the furthest we have ever been from the kids. Thank you again to Jenn and Mimi and Paw Paw for all your help this weekend!
One of our first stops when we got into town was the fraternity house. Seriously, this was hilarious because I think I could have babysat all of the brothers at some point in high school.
We spent the rest of Friday night hanging out with everyone in town. I have to say the biggest lesson learned is that I am no longer 21 nor am I a college student (neither is my liver). As we were leaving the bar the kids were just going in. Ah I remember those days....
The wedding was Saturday and it was beautiful!
The ceremony was also short and sweet (always a plus, especially when your buzz is wearing off from when you hit the bar before the ceremony). True story: After leaving the Church I was stopped by two women who told me I am a dead ringer for Debbie, pardon, Deborah Gibson. Compliment? Depends on whichDebbie Deborah we're talking about. You be the judge:
I don't see it, but maybe they pre-partied too? Needless to say the "Shake your Love" and "Electric Youth" jokes went on for a while.
The reception was at the Garden Center in Tallahassee. It was a beautiful location, and the weather was perfect for it!
Another true story: One of the waiters (Chris) could have been Justin Beiber's twin (don't worry if you don't know who that guy is, had it not been for this weeks People Magazine I would not have known either). Because of the similarity he was called Beiber the whole night. I'm sure it was annoying, I know I would have been annoyed is someone called meDebbie Deborah all night. Well, no, I wouldn't have, I had enough wine by that point that they could have sang all her songs to me and I would have sung along.
The whole weekend was great, and it was good to see some of our FSU friends! We cannot wait to go back during football season!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Sounds like a great weekend! Stopping by from SITS.
Oh the good ol days - I can not hold as much as alcohol as before either : )
You know you kind of favor Deborah Gibson - too funny that she goes by Deborah now - she will always be Debbie to me.
