Yesterday Scott, the kids and I planted our very first vegetable garden. Yes, the kids "helped". They had their own shovel and rake to help us, and they are really good at pushing the wheelbarrow around. They also got in the garden and helped push the dirt around.
We planted 4 zucchini plants, 4 strawberry plants, 2 green bell pepper plants and 2 Roma tomato plants. We're trying the Topsy Turvy things for the tomatoes, we'll see how that works out. I also planted some Dahlia, Salva and Delphinium seeds to use in the front of the house. I hope they sprout and turn out nice.
Hopefully this breaks my not so green thumb streak. Any tips?
