Date: May 2005This is Scott and I the week we got engaged in Alaska. We were on the Sapphire Princess and I want to say we were around Ketchikan when this photo was taken (also notice the time, that was correct by the way). Scott and I were talking about cruises the other night at dinner with Bob and we talked about our engagement story, so that's why I'm being super nostalgic with this photo. Scott proposed to me on one of the first nights at sea. You couldn't see land anywhere you turned (possibly why he asked me then?). It was hilarious though because the crew on the ship did everything possible to almost ruin the surprise. Flowers were delivered early, confirmation calls were made to our room which I answered, champagne was waiting an hour early, the poor guy. But even with all of that it was still one of the most romantic nights of my life and Alaska will always hold a very special place in my heart.
