Jennifer Mendelsohn can kiss my Mommy Blogging behind!

I debated whether or not to respond to the snarky piece that ran in the New York Times this weekend about "mommy bloggers". Do I fuel the fire and give them what they probably want (more attention) or do I let it roll off my back? Well Ms. Hypocrite Jennifer Mendelsohn, buckle up.

I obviously did not attend Bloggy Boot Camp that was put on by the fabulous women of SITS, but I feel that this hypocrite reporter person took a lot of cheap shots and needs to get a clue. I think I am more bothered by the fact that she is a stay at home mom and a blogger herself. But clearly she is above us because she works for the Times, right? Excuse me while I roll my eyes....

I'm sorry I didn't get a degree in journalism, and I am sorry that you are threatened by that. I think your "article", much like your newspaper, are seriously biased. Funny that you didn't mention how we raise money for charities that your fine toliet paper does not acknowledge. Tell me Jennifer, what do you know about Tuesday Whitt? Or Layla Grace? How much money has your paper donated to research for neuroblastoma? Did you do Cans for Comments and donate food to your food bank? Probably not. Clearly you did not do your research, maybe you missed that in Journalism 101 (you probably missed that part on how not to take comments out of context too, just sayin'). Go back to Journalism school and write another article after you get a clue.

XOXO
A MoM who clearly has too much time on her hands and neglects her children so she can connect with other lonely women who neglect their children as well and only does it to get free stuff. Amanda

I DID attend Bloggy Boot Camp, and loved it. I didn't appreciate the snarky, condescending tone of the article, either. We discussed it on Twitter, then decided to bury it, as it deserves.

If you get a chance to attend a Bloggy Boot Camp, GO! It was fantastic. I'm planning on going again.

Ok, so you ready for this? She DID know about Tuesday Whitt because I attended the Boot Camp and she interviewed me for FORTY MINUTES and the whole time we talked about how my blog is used to do fundraising for pediatric cancer research.
Then, her article came out and...NO MENTION. Not me. Not my blog. Not Tuesday.

It made me sick.

She fooled everyone there into thinking she was "just like us", when in fact, she was just... a lame NY Times reporter.

Amen sister! I couldn't agree more! Clearly this woman was misinformed and her Journalism degree is eating away at her brain. Here's what I said about that Times debacle:
