Lucky 27

I know they say time flies when you're having fun, but good gracious where have the last 27 years of my life gone?! I bet my Mom and Dad are asking themselves the same question, followed by "Gosh I've gotten really grey in the last 27 years I wonder if that's a coincidence?". I can neither confirm, nor deny.

Seriously, it seems like yesterday that I was eating a birthday cake that had Snow White on it, now I'm an adult with kids of my own. Where did the time go???
I have to say though, it's been a pretty awesome 27 years. I could not ask for better friends or family to have surrounding me.

I have the best parents a girl could ask for. Even though I was a "surprise" for them, I never felt like it. I can only hope that 25 years from now Aaron and Jill say the same thing about me and Scott.

Speaking of Scott, I could not ask for a better husband....

That photo is from my 23rd birthday, right before we got married. I definitely got lucky in the husband department. He asked me the other day if I wasn't excited about turning 27 because it's so close to 30. I told him no because when I turn 30, he'll almost be 40, 30 is the better age in this scenario.

And then there's my babies. How lucky am I?

This photo is from my birthday last year. I never imagined being 27 with almost 2 year old twins. I never imagined myself with twins really, but I would not have it any other way.

Today has been pretty awesome so far and I can only hope the next 364 days are just as awesome. 27 is my lucky number after all (I got married on the 27th, Multiples and More launched on the 27th, Aaron was born at 3:27).
