We have friends in town that we haven't seen in like, gosh I don't know, 5 years. Last night they had a big BBQ at Treehouse Villas, since that's where they were staying. It was like a Main Street Steam Train reunion, which was awesome. Scott and I had been looking forward to this for weeks now, too bad the kids didn't get that memo.
I don't know if it was the fact that we were all in one space or that there were so many kids or that my kids have a series case of Jekyll and Hyde but shortly after we got there Jill turned into super toddler. Everything had to be hers and if it wasn't you were going to hear about it. The main fight was over the stroller, that wasn't ours. The next fight was because I wouldn't let her climb onto the top bunk. Needless to say we excused ourselves early to get Ms. Crank home.
We had our moments on the way back to the car, as you can see:
In a totally unrelated story I was informed at Church this weekend, by a total stranger during mass that I was pale and that maybe I should be careful in the sun because I would most certainly burn. Is that not the strangest thing? What do you even say to that? I did my "you're really creeping me out" laugh with a lot of head nodding. What would you have said? Mind you, you are in mass.
Be sure to play along with Krystyn's Mommy and Me Monday on Really are you serious? Which come to think of it, maybe that's what I should have said....are you serious??? Hmm maybe Krystyn is onto something....

I know that feeling! My son is really well behaved most of the time, but last week we visited some friends that don't have kids. Their house isn't toddler-proof so hubby & I spent most of the evening chasing him around, telling him "no," and trying to keep him out of the dog's food. I totally felt like "that" mom. Not fun!
oh sorry to hear that you have to come home early... oh well that's how it is having a little one... they tend to be the boss hehehe
We have those days too! And wow, on the comment at church - what do you say to something like that? Weird
Oh, don't you hate when they decide at the most inconvenient times to act up?? Sometimes it's like they save up their bad/cranky behavior for exactly the moment you don't want them to.
Found you through SITS
I hate it when Natalie does that..I feel like I look like the crazy mom and I'm dragging my kid along. It's awesome, isn't it?
Oh, and I just love it when people tell me skin care!
Church guy is creepy! So weird and so random! Cute photo though!
