Shoes Really Do Change Your Life

The kiddos were due for new shoes so I did what I always do, went to the Stride Rite outlet by us. It was truly a heinous experience, which is unusual since I've loved this store for the past 3 years. Anyway, we didn't find shoes and were not helped at all, so we left.

Aaron wanted a very specific pair of shoes, which is one of the reasons I hate ads on channels for the kiddos. Aaron is obsessed with all things Super Hero Squad and when he saw the commercial for the new  Avengers sneakers he about lost his mind. I thought he'd want the Captain America shoes (normally his favorite), but he decided he wanted Iron Man. I heard about Iron Man shoes for like a month before finally caving. I'll tell you what though, it was worth every penny to see the look on his face when he got his shoes.

Jill decided on a pair of light up (and boy do they light up, sunglasses anyone?) Cinderella shoes. Like Cinderella, these shoes have apparently changed her life. Who knew?

Both of them have been wearing their new shoes since the moment they came to the door. Aaron has only tried to be Iron Man (read: jump off of things thinking he can fly) a handful of times. Jill is practically blinding us each time she runs by.

Their happiness over new shoes makes me happy though. How could you not love two kiddos running around excited because they got new shoes?
