One of my favorite things about summer is the summer reading program at our local library. I'm a nerd, right? I've always loved summer reading programs, even when I was young. Yes, I was the child that always asked for extra sheets to log the books I read.
Our summer reading program wrapped up last month and there is a break in library activities until the end of next month, so what to do until then? Well, JetBlue and PBS teamed up for the Soar with Reading program. The Soar with Reading program is in its second year and aims to provide age appropriate books to children around the US.
The goal of the Soar with Reading program is to donate $200,000 worth of books to children in need. Helping JetBlue and PBS reach this goal is so simple, all you have to do is head over to their website and add your kiddos favorite book. That's it! While you're there you can check out all of the great downloadable and printable activities that you can do with your kids.
