What is it, like 105?

We were able to meet up with Bob and Vanessa today to do a little swimming and enjoy one of our last weekends before school starts up.  Bob and Vanessa are both teachers, so this is the last hurrah for them as well.

The few hours of splashing were perfect, it was entirely too hot to do anything else. I think they said with the heat index it felt like 105 today.

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend and stayed cool. I also hope you had so much fun that you made a face similar to Aaron.

(Rainy) Day at SeaWorld

The kiddos had the biggest surprise of their life on Friday afternoon. Their Uncle Bob and Aunt Vanessa surprised them at school and told them they would be spending the night with them.

They spent the afternoon playing in the camper, riding rides at Old Town and feeding deer.

Aaron watched Jill and Bob feed the deer from the golf cart. I don't blame him.

Scott and I were able to go on a date, but it was cut short when Aaron had an exorcist moment and vomited all over Vanessa, himself and Vanessa's purse.  When we picked him up he seemed to be doing better and just had an upset stomach.

Aaron stayed home with us for the night and Jill had a sleepover with Bob and Vanessa.

We met them the next morning and went to SeaWorld. We thought the weather was going to be decent, but quickly discovered it would be a soggy day.  It didn't stop us from checking out as much as possible. This was what we saw the majority of the day:

It's like we weren't even there.

Like I said, we were caught in the rain most of the day. This is what Scott and I thought of it:

Aside from the rain, it was an awesome day. I know all of us slept in today until almost 9 a.m., which never happens. Like ever.

Thanks for the awesome day Bob and Vanessa!

Boing! Boing! Boing!

Yesterday we were supposed to spend the day at the beach with our friends Bob and Vanessa, however, thunderstorms had other plans for us. With the beach out of the question and two kiddos that really wanted to see their Uncle Bob and Aunt Ba-nessa (as Jill says) we formulated a plan B.

We headed out towards the Tampa area to meet up with everyone and met in Brandon for lunch. Vanessa's cousin Sara joined us as well, and the kiddos were just as excited to see her. They loved hanging out with Sara at the wedding!

After lunch we headed to Boing!, it's a trampoline park. Bob, Vanessa, and Sara jumped with the kids. I've got some vertigo going on right now with whatever allergy attack I'm having, so the last place I need to be is jumping on a trampoline. You get to jump for an hour and all people under 18 have to wear these awesome helmets:

Don't they look super cute?!

I took some photos of them jumping, but they're super blurry. I did manage to get some video though:

Jill is in blue, Aaron is in orange, Vanessa is in blue/green, and Sara is in black and white stripes. I don't think Bob was jumping at this point? I know he tried to sit out a few times, but his Jilly found him and dragged him back in each and every time.

Thanks for a great day Bob, Vanessa, and Sara!
