Set....Hike!

The weather, for once, was pretty amazing last night. It actually didn't rain, so that was an added bonus. While I was trying to get some homework done (only 5 classes to go!) Scott took the kids out front to play. Our backyard is pretty much infested with wasps and is a less than desirable place to be. If you have any tips or tricks for keeping wasps away, please let me know!

Anyway, Scott took the kiddos out front to play and by the time I got out there this is what I saw:

Seriously, is that not the most adorable thing ever? What was equally impressive is that they did not shatter any windows and no noses were broken a la Marsha Brady.

Scott also worked on teaching Aaron the Heisman Pose....

Obviously we still have some work to do here, but he does look like a natural.

Jill and I spent the time drawing on the driveway. And what I mean here is I drew and Jill directed me. Towards the end though she was drawing too. She also had some amazing plumber's crack going on, which is something we will need to work on.

We ended the night with some milkshakes and a movie. We watched Ferngully which always reminds me of my niece Lorren. She watched this movie all the time growing up. It's cute, but it does disturb me that the movie is set in Australia and everyone has New York accents. I mean that's not the only thing that bothers me, but it definitely stands out.

Hope you all are having a great start to your weekend!

7 Princes and 1 Princess!

Yesterday we had a playdate at the Pierce home with our friends the Pierce boys, Adams boys and Jacobson boys. Yup, Jill was the only girl there, and took her princess role very seriously. All the kids had a great time! Thank you again Melissa for having us over! Here's some photos from our day:
After the playdate we headed to Mimi and PawPaw's for some lunch and my interview. PawPaw has the perfect office because it is far away from the sounds of kids crashing toys. The kids also got to see the train under Mimi and PawPaw's tree. I think they sat in front of it for 30 minutes and I think Jill screamed "Choo-Choo!" the entire time.

That's all that's really going on over here. Hope you're having a great day so far! And remember only 14 days until Christmas! WOO HOO!!!

Yesterday was pretty awesome, minus the fact that Scott had to work 12 hours :( We went to Mimi and PawPaw's for the day. PawPaw's cousin Dave, his wife Sue and their daughter Beth joined us, along with my friend Jenn and her boys. The kids wanted nothing to do with the turkey, like at all. They both ate their fair share of crescent rolls and cranberry sauce though. Always delicious, just not that nutritious.

Today we had a playdate with Lani, April and all their kiddos. Talk about a full house! Six 2 year olds and two 18 month olds. Phew! We were all talking about how different the playdates are now. We actually get to sit and talk and the kids actually, dare I say it? Play! Jill was in a bossy mood today, maybe bossy isn't the word I want to use....beyotchy yes that's the word I want to use. I think she staked claim on all of the toys and if someone so much as breathed in it's direction she had a fit. Clearly sharing is not a priority with her (check minus). Poor Aaron was struggling with the fact that he had shoes on and had a heck of a time getting around. Thanks again Lani for having us all over!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and survived the crowds if you went shopping this morning!

Just a small town girl.....

Yesterday we went on a playdate, the first in a long time, at Lani's house. The kiddos had a great time, and for once they were not in my lap the entire time/most of the time, well mainly because Ben was there. We also got to see the Pierce Peanuts (as I call them) Evan and Taylor. We haven't seen them in a while, and it is crazy how big they have gotten! Jill followed the "big kids" around and tried to do what they were doing, even tried to climb on the water table because you know, she's a big girl too. Aaron I think was just excited that there was a plethora of balls to play with, it's the simple things in life with him, I love it! Thanks again Lani for having us over! Here are some pictures from the playdate (notice none of my kids...I need to get better about taking pictures)

Since the kiddos played hard they fell asleep in the car on the 10 minute (if that) ride home and fought their way through lunch before going down for their nap. Come to find out Aaron ended up sleeping with some chicken nugget in his mouth...awesome....

After lunch we brought out the Cozy Coupes. Jill has already been playing with them since she discovered them in the hall, and when I say playing with I mean pulling out the floor board so that doesn't get in her way. Aaron likes his and can actually move around a little in it, but Jill....she LOVES this thing! Even this morning she ran right into it and sat there and finished her milk, like our dining room is a drive in movie theater! They are still getting used to being in the cars, and have had some problems with slipping under the car (awesome) but all in all they love having them out in the play area. All I can say is at least they really don't know how to move in them yet, otherwise I may have some holes in my walls.

Last night I had my first executive board meeting for GOMOTT and on the way there is was like God knew I needed some musical motivation! The classic rock station played my song, Journey's "Don't stop believing" and oh yes, I turned it way up and rocked out like none other. Now you may be wondering, why would a twenty something be rocking out to this band....Ok well if looks weren't enough (I mean come on mullets, perms, leather, it's a winning combination!), their song "Don't stop believing" was the theme song for the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox (notice the title on the photo)...

Steve Perry (um lead singer for all those that don't know, he's the guy with the super awesome mullet) was also present at every game in the series. He no longer has the magic mullet, maybe that's why we haven't won the series since then, just a theory people. Oh and they are coming to Amway Arena in Septemeber, and yes I actually called to try and win tickets. Back to the story, so I was rocking out to my song (people staring the whole time mind you) and then I switched to another station where they were playing....wait for it....Rick Springfield's Jessie's Girl.

UHHHHHHHHH another awesome song! Now I don't know many of Dr. Noah Drake, I mean Rick Springfield's songs, and I usually fast forward through him singing on General Hospital (where he also plays Eli Love the Austrailian bad by of rock and roll, who Dr. Noah Drake neurosurgeon briefly filled in for while Eli was recovering from brain surgery, I mean hello) but I love this song! But then, it get's better! How you ask? Ummm this station played "Don't stop believing"! Yeah! Seriously! In case you forgot that song was the theme for the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox....

So now that you know that I have a weakness for cheesey classic rock, I should probably go...haha

The much awaited video!

Here is a video of Aaron and Jill just playing. When I was going through the video I had a lot of it is from when they were really little, I've been bad about taking video, sorry! Maybe I'll put up some of the really old footage, not sure yet. Enjoy!!!
