Today was an interesting day to say the least. I know the kiddos are tired, I just know it, but they don't seem to want to nap. Oh and when I say they I mean Aaron. He only took an hour nap this morning and an hour nap this afternoon. I think he is getting some teeth or something, plus his nose is kind of stuffy (possibly from the shots?). He's also been really picky about eating which is so not normal. Jill on the other hand, wow, she napped for 2 hours each time and devoured her lunch AND dinner. Maybe they switched places?
I took them to the supermarket today, something I rarely if ever do, and the reason why was again proven today. So I get to Sweetbay and had my fingers crossed that one of those God awful car carts would be there, and of course, nope not there, so stroller and a hand cart it is! We get in the store and things are going smooth, I got cocky, I really did. Then it hit the fan. I could hear it "She's touching me! No he's touching me!" whine whine whine! Noooooooooooooo!!!!! We were doing so well! We made it to aisle 5, AISLE 5! So I was trying to fly through the other aisles getting what I needed then I saw her. You know who, the woman with the preschooler/kindergartner that should be in school but instead is in the previously mentioned cart with like 3 things in her basket. Yeah, that really grates my nerves. A) Your kid should be in school B) Your kid can walk and is way to big for the car and C) YOU HAVE ONE CHILD use the regular cart! Sigh....anyway we got everything we needed and left without any problems other than whining.
So I took Lani's advice and made her turkey meatballs for dinner for the kiddos tonight. It was like the heaven's opened and choirs of angels were singing, it was the most amazing dinner I have ever witnessed. Jill ate 2 whole meatballs and stared at me like "Hey lady keep it coming!" and Aaron also ate 2 meatballs. Plus they had a thing of yogurt. It was amazing! No fussing, no nothing, just the sweet sounds of silence. Alleluia! Thanks again for the recipe Lani!
So yeah, that was our day. Hope yours was great!

Yipee! Seriously, isn't it like winning powerball when the kids actually like what you make them to eat?? Except without the money:)
I HATE it when I see someone walking around the store with only one kid in the cart made for two. I have, on more than one occasion, made a Publix manager find me a double cart so I could shop. :-)
Umm..I'm gonna need that recipe seeing as how Adam doesn't eat beef and I'm always looking for new turkey recipes. Glad you managed to get all your shopping done:)
I used to hate it when others would take the cart for their one child that could SO walk! UGh! So great about the meatballs though! I might need that recipe!
