Why is she looking at me like that?!

A lot has been going on over here! First things first, I (who should have been named Grace) bumped my head into our new shelf on Monday while picking up the kids toys. Naturally, I had a headache after and thought nothing of it, I mean I did just hit my head. Then the denial of a concussion set it. I felt sick to my stomach and had a headache for a few days still after and thought, nope not a concussion I am totally fine, no need to go to the hospital! Wrong. So Scott made me go on Thursday (as in escorted me to the hospital). All of my scans came back normal (yes Dad, there is something up there!) and I was told I have post concussive syndrome which means I will have all the symptoms of a concussion for a while. I just happened to hit my head in the right place, no bruise, no bump, just a concussion. I'm doing ok now, still a mild headache, which is more annoying that anything else.

So I told you that story to tell you this story. Friday morning I had my yearly appointment at the dermatologist (since I live in Florida and am always in the sun, it's really the smartest thing you can do) and was not feeling up to par. I was so out of it, and the dermatologist definitely took notice. After the nurse stepped out the derm and I just sat and chatted, she has boy/girl twins as well. I could tell she was trying to look in my pupils to see if I was high, seriously. She asked how I was coping with the kids and being a stay at home MoM and if I felt overwhelmed at all. I kind of gave her that, what the frick?! look and then it dawned on me, I totally look high as a kite! I explained that I had a concussion and she laughed and said "Phew! Ok good, I was kind of worried!". At least she was concerned, right? But it begs the question, how rough did I look?!

Through all of it, the kids have been great! They are seriously at the best age right now! Jill has her own personality for sure and is nothing short of entertaining! When the music videos come on Nick Jr (especially The Fresh Beat Band) she loves to mimic the choreography and put on her own show, complete with a ta-da and bow at the end. Diva! She has also found Scott's computer and will probably have her very own blog up soon, be on the look out!
Aaron is starting to talk, A LOT, more. He's still my cuddle bug though and usually can be found in my lap with a book (totally my child!). He's also becoming quite the budding chef and spends most of the time he's not in my lap in the play kitchen. And to prove he is Scott's son, he's a total ham! He now says "cheese!" when you go to take his picture, see:

Together they are hit or miss, and that changes from second to second. Seriously. They have both become very territorial and not very good at the whole sharing thing. It can be really chaotic at times, but then there are moments like this that just melt your heart:

I've been reading a book on identical twins (review to come to Multiples and More next week!) and can only hope that my kiddos have the same closeness through the years as some of the twins in that book. Based on that picture, I have no doubts!

Before I go, if you love girly giveaways you need to check out Yvonne's blog! She is having a monster beauty giveaway, everything looks awesome! See:

Hope you're having a great weekend!
