I apologize for the lack of posts this week, I've been holed up in bed with some mystery illness since Monday. Scott took me to the ER on Monday night and they said it was an upper respiratory infection, wrote me some prescriptions and sent me on my merry way (not after one of the most entertaining things I've ever witnessed in an ER though, please read my tweets). Tuesday and Wednesday are a total blur though. I went back to the doctor on Wednesday because I hadn't kept my fever down since Monday. I'm finally on amoxicillin and feeling better, minus the aches and pains from having fevers for the past 3 days. I would also like to point out that I believe there is a curse on us in regards to this week. One or all of us gets sick every year at this time. In 2008 Jill got RSV, in 2009 both kids got viral infections that ended up with them having febrile seizures and this year I got the plague. Crazy, right?
I'll update more later, but for now, here's Thanksgiving Thursday:
For those of you that don't know what Thanksgiving Thursday is, it is the one time during the week where you stop and basically count your blessings. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small.

This week I am thankful for:
- Scott being the best nurse a girl could ask for. He took care of me and the kids for the whole week and did a great job. Thank you so much for making me my favorite soup and taking such good care of all of us.
- The kids being so great during all of this. It was definitely hard being away from them this whole time, but they didn't tie up their father, so that's a good thing.
- Mimi and Paw Paw helping out during my plague. Thank you for taking the kids today, it's a huge help.
- Antibiotics, they are awesome.
