The end of naps...

*Sigh* Regular naps have officially ended in this house. I know, I know, the fact that my kids still napped after the age of 3 should make me one grateful Mama, but seriously, this sucks. I have a months worth of General Hospital taking up valuable space on my DVR, it's distressing.

Since naps have gone down the crapper, we now do "quiet time". The kids get to veg on the couch and watch a movie, while I do whatever I need to get done. If I'm lucky one of them will give in and take a quick snooze.

So what did you do when your kiddos gave up naps? Did you do quiet time as well? Will I get any more lines on my face because of this?

OH Amanda. I am terribly fearful of this event. Although L is an on again off again napper since 1 1/2 H has been steady going strong. There was a small period when they both gave it up and I tried to instill quiet time, would work but only for 30 minutes or so. I treasure these naps more than anything, esp when my hubby works late. A FULL day is too exhausting for me. So again I feel for you....and once my girls stop they crys (from me) will be heard around the world!

Hailey hasn't been napping for a while, but has been doing Quiet Time in her room very well. Yesterday was the first time neither of them napped and I felt like I was going to rip my hair out. I'm sure that it was probably because they interrupted my "Revenge" time with requests to poop and other nonsense, but seriously...I can't take it! (Plus, it would be totally inappropriate to have them on the couch watching Days of Our Lives with me)
