Choc-Oat-Chip Cookie Bars

I love chocolate chip cookies and I love oatmeal cookies, so this recipe is the perfect combination of both of my loves. You can make these as either traditional cookies (should make 4 dozen) or as cookie bars.

Here's what you need:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups of quick or old fashioned oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Here's what you need to do:

Preheat oven to 375
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
Beat brown sugar, butter, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until creamy
Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla extract
Gradually beat in the flour mixture
Stir in oats and chips
Either spread in prepared pan or drop by the spoonful on cookie sheets
If making cookies bake for 9-10 minutes for chewy cookies or 12-13 minutes for crispy cookies
If making cookie bars, bake for around 30 minutes until cooked through.
Cool and enjoy!

Even Scott liked these and he is not a big oatmeal fan. If you don't want to do triple chocolate chip, pick your favorite and do 2 cups of them.
