All Mascara is Not Created Equal - A Review

I am a lover of small books with little facts or tips. I'm pretty sure I have at least a dozen of them. I like to refer to them when I'm not having the best day because there is always at least one page that will make me smile, or at least reflect on the issue at hand. Jessica Landmon's book, All Mascara is Not Created Equal, is one of those books you can pull out on a not-so-great-day.

While Landmon specifically wrote the book for her tween daughter who was entering middle school, the tips and quips within its pages speak to any age range. She kept the format "tweet like" and in a manner that God would approve of.

Landmon mashes practical quips with faithful reflections in a flawless and light hearted manner. It's not uncommon to read about moody cats on page and find a reminder to take a day of rest, because even God needed one, on the other. At the end of the day this quick read reminds us ladies that we are all not created equal, but underneath the facade, we are all loved and beautiful.

The book also includes a few blank pages towards the end. This is great for you to write your own reflections, or if you are giving it as a gift, to leave a personal note to the recipient.

All Mascara is Not Created Equal would make a great gift for any woman (young or old) in your life. It's a great way to show that you are thinking of them and that you are rooting for them.

You can purchase a copy of All Mascara is Not Created Equal through Jessica Landmon's website (which is also her ministry website featuring different discussions for women), or on Amazon.

Disclosure: I received a copy of All Mascara is Not Created Equal for review. The opinions expressed are my own.
