Thanksgiving Thursday

For those of you that don't know what Thanksgiving Thursday is, it is the one time during the week where you stop and basically count your blessings. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small.

This week I am thankful for:

• Scott who is my best friend and I cannot imagine not having in my life.

• Aaron who makes me smile with what a big boy he's become.

• Jillian who blossomed into a big girl overnight with kindergarten.

• Family all around us.

• Morning or evening runs with my friend Michelle. I cherish that time together.

• Pandora internet radio.

• The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. Seriously, made my day.

Yum Yum Books and the Cheese

Yesterday we went to the UCF Book Festival. The festival is put on every year in the arena and there are a ton of book vendors and activities for the whole family. When we arrived they were just finishing a story time and starting to talk about oyster mats. We took that time to check out some oysters:

Then we headed back into the kid zone to hear the owners of the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck read three cupcake themed stories: Pinkalicious (which Joey told us is based on his life story), If You Give a Cat a Cupcake and Cupcake. 

The kiddos loved the stories, but most especially the sweet treats they got at the end of the stories:

After the book festival we went over to Chuck E. Cheese. If you know me, you know there is a reason we had to go there. I was reviewing their new Say Cheese app for iPhone and Android. The kids thought it was cool that Chuck joined them in their photos:

True story.

When we got home for the night we snuggled up and read from our new books that we picked up at the festival.

I know that nobody is surprised that Jill picked a princess book.

Thanksgiving Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

• Scott getting me pumpkin coffee from Dunkin' Donuts on Saturday. He hit rock star status in that very moment.

• Aaron who still asks for snuggle time when we sit on the couch at night.

• Jillian whose version of the Lord's Prayer goes like this: "Our Father, who art in heaven, there are angels at my head, with liberty and justice for all. Amen."

• Family that is super supportive with everything.

• Being introduced to the Yum Yum Cupcake Truck. 

• Another year running the princess half marathon (post coming soon)

• One of the most touching moments on Wednesday. I was walking across campus and a student with Down Syndrome stopped me just to tell me that I looked really nice. It completely made my day.
