Pumpkin Patch Time!

Yesterday we took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkins. We've gone to the same patch since their first Halloween. This patch seems to get better every year and there seems to be more decorations, plus the proceeds go to an amazing cause.

The kids loved picking out their own pumpkins, but were not really into the whole 'posing for photos' thing. We all got a pumpkin and then drove around to look at the houses that are decorated for Halloween. The place where this patch is located is full of homes that go all out for Halloween. One house looked like a pirate ship and Aaron was convinced it was were Captain Hook lives.

When we got home we let the kids paint their pumpkins, while Scott and I carved ours. I use the word carve loosely with mine, I pretty much hacked mine up, Scott's is carved.

Aaron did a simple layer on the upper part of his pumpkin and he was all set. Now, Jill on the other hand, well she put at least 5 layers of paint on her pumpkin. Here is what the whole pumpkin family looked like:

The kids have already asked a dozen or so times if we are going back to the patch to get more pumpkins. I think this will definitely be a fun tradition for us for years to come.

Mommy and Me Monday: It's the Great Pumpkin!

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

Saturday was our trip to the pumpkin patch, so naturally we had to get a quick snapshot:

It probably would have been funnier had we all put our heads in the holes, but the kiddos were all about sitting on the pumpkins at this point. I mean, that's what they're for, right? ;)

Weekend Recap

Yesterday we took the kiddos to a pumpkin patch. This was the first patch they ever went to, so it was neat to be able to take them back when they could really enjoy it. They seemed to know exactly why they were there, and I think if we let her, Jill would have taken the entire patch home with her.

Later that night we met up with the Billings, minus all of our kids! Can I get a Woo Hoo?! We all went to Food and Wine at EPCOT, it was their first time back in something like 20 years, so we knew it would be fun. So much fun in fact that I was coerced into taking this photo:

No, I was not drunk, but I was practically in a chair pose trying to get my head in this hole. The entire night was nothing short of awesome. Thank you again to Aunt Staci for hanging with the babies!

Hope you have been having a fantastic weekend!

Way back When-esday: It's the Great Pumpkin!

Dateline: 10/15/2008
Age: 6 months

This was the kiddos first ever visit to the pumpkin patch! This seems like just yesterday, I can't believe it's been 2 years. We're planning on taking the kiddos to the pumpkin patch sometime this week, probably the same one. Can't wait to have a side by side photo!

Always a first for everything...

So normally I do this on the Carepages website, but....this one seems cooler! Ha ha! We've had a pretty busy week this week, which is always nice. Wednesday we went to the pumpkin patch in Celebration with Lani, Ben, Cameron, Lily, April, Hunter, Hadden and Hendrix (yeah we turned a few heads). It was a really nice trip, the patch was set up with picture spots which we didn't expect, and the guy that was running it was super nice and even set up a wagon with pumpkins so we could take some more pictures. Tomorrow we have our first birthday party to go to! Hunter, Hadden and Hendrix are one today (happy birthday boys!) and we can't wait to spend tomorrow afternoon with them!
In other news teething is...well it sucks. I can't wait for those first teeth to pop through so it hopefully gives them some relief! I also never thought so much drool could come out of such tiny people! They are like leaky faucets right now!
That's pretty much it for right now, I'm going to try and put up some video (Yay!!!) later.
