Visits with My Brother and Family - AKA The Foozball Game

My brother and his family was in town last week and it was such an awesome visit. My nephew's football team was going to be playing a game at Wide World of Sports and I was beyond excited because it was my first time seeing him play.

We started out the visit by going to dinner at Trails End over at Fort Wilderness, which honestly, we had never been to before. Definitely check it out, it's a fantastic buffet (and I hate buffets). The only downside was that the bathrooms were on the other side of the building, next to Hoop De Doo. Normally, this would not be an issue, but there was a monsoon that night and someone (Jill) had to pee twice during dinner. One of those times was during a downpour. Aside from the rain, it was an awesome dinner.

We met up the next day at Magic Kingdom and it was hot. Like really hot. Like I'm sure we were melting at one point. The visit definitely required a visit to the Plaza ice cream shop. Jill discovered a new favorite flavor while we were there, birthday cake.

While hanging at Magic Kingdom was awesome, the real reason why everyone was there was to see Jeffery play the foozball. We planned our arrival at Wide World of Sports perfectly because we were able to watch the team walk in. Aaron literally lost his mind when he saw Jeffy. He ran up, high fived him and was upset that he couldn't hang with the team.

We had a lot of time to kill before the game, so we grabbed some dinner and then...the rain came. Thankfully we were able to hang out in the field house and watch a basketball practice.

But then the rain didn't stop...

It kept raining....

And raining...

And lightening...

And thundering....

And raining....

3 hours. It stormed for 3 hours.

Needless to say we were inside for the 3 hours waiting out the storm. Every time we thought the storm was passing a flash of lightening would appear. It was brutal.

When the storm was starting to die down, they brought the team out to start warming up. Aaron lost his mind when he saw Jeffy in his uniform. My brother snagged an awesome video of him cheering for Jeffy and asking to wear his helmet.
We finally made it out to the field after 10 pm and kickoff was around 10:15ish, I think.

We didn't stay too long though, Scott and I had to work the next morning and the kiddos had to go to camp. The team ended up winning, which is awesome!

We met up with my brother and his family on Saturday for a quick dip in the pool and then another afternoon at Magic Kingdom.

Again, it was really hot and humid, but still a ton of fun. My brother, niece and Jill went on Splash Mountain and were soaked! Jill kept reminding me throughout the day that her pants were in fact still wet.

We also went on the speedway. I think my sister-in-law was the smartest one in the group because she rode solo. Aaron and Art rode together, Kaitlyn and Jill were in another car and Scott and I paired up. It was a fun little trip around the track, with only a hint of whiplash.

We knew Jeffy was coming with his group so we headed to the front of the park to meet up with him.

Again, Aaron was just beyond excited to see him. He was also with some of his teammates and Aaron was ready to be one of the boys. At one point he walked up to me and said, "Bye Mom, I'm going with the boys."

After we met up with Jeffy, we made another visit to the ice cream shop and settled in to watch the parade. Kaitlyn and I were also able to sneak away and ride Space Mountain (Kaitlyn actually rode it twice).

It was such a fun visit with my brother and his family. I love when they come to town and cannot wait to see them again at Thanksgiving.

The Final Day of Tay Tay's Visit...Or Was It?

On Tay Tay's last day we made our way to Magic Kingdom. Naturally, we made several completely necessary popcorn stops.

It was definitely a really warm day, but the crowds were not awful. We were able to get on quite a few rides (thank goodness for Fastpass!). We even made our way on to the speedway. I let Jill drive...

Aaron and Tay Tay were speeding up behind us. It was a super fun and super warm day.

The kiddos snoozed the entire way to the airport and I headed home. Tay Tay's flight was delayed the moment she stepped foot in the airport and that night she sent me a text saying her flight was canceled. Thank goodness I didn't strip the bed!

The next morning when the kiddos were getting ready they didn't realize Tay Tay was still at the house. Jill noticed that Tay Tay's suitcase and phone were still in her room. She was concerned that Tay Tay forgot them. Then she saw Tay Tay and the expression on her face was priceless.

I'm so glad I was able to spend a few days with my sister. We Bednarek girls sure know how to make the most of our girls weekends.

"What do you mean the ride is closed?!"

We had another busy week and weekend. Scott and I finished our summer running series this weekend and Michelle joined us.

Scott ran with me and it's been a few weeks since he ran. Friday night I asked him what his goal time was and he said he wanted to beat his previous time of 38:38, so that was what I worked with. I may have pushed him at points and he may have cursed me in his mind a few times, but we beat the time by a few seconds. He was even smiling at the end, see.

Michelle came in a few seconds behind us and I like to think that she was mentally thanking me for taking her on the course a few weeks before. That course was no joke. The first mile had four hills in it with the final hill being more of a mountain.

Oh, and take a look at my bib number. Not that I'm superstitious or anything, but uh...yeah I was a little nervous about that running with that number.

After the morning run and all of the normal Saturday errands, we went to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon/evening. I rewarded all of my hard half-marathon training with the most delicious strawberry shortcake sundae I have
ever laid eyes on. I would like to personally thank the person in front of us who ordered it because it encouraged me to follow suit. Seriously, look at that mound of deliciousness!

We were able to score some Fastpasses and go on a few rides without really having to wait. I would like to point out that one of the rides we walked right on to was Carousel of Progress at the kiddos request. Only my 6-year-olds would want to go on that ride.

We also took a ride on the other carousel. The funniest thing of the day happened while we were waiting in line for the ride. Jill mentioned that she wanted to go on the Snow White ride, so I asked if she meant the mine train and she said no, the Snow White ride. She then pointed to where the ride used to be like 2 years ago. I told her it wasn't there anymore and she said, "What do you mean it's not there anymore?!" I told her it was a princess meet and greet now. "I don't want to see any princesses! I want to ride Snow White!" I'm still trying to figure out where she has been for the last 2 years.

But, speaking of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train...the line said 70 minutes almost every time that we went past it. We finally bit the bullet (after a mandatory potty break, because Lord knows I was not getting out of that line for anything) and jumped in line. We were in like for maybe 10 minutes before Jill had a "stomachache" and couldn't ride. The moment she stepped out of line with Scott she wanted to go on another ride. I think it was straight nerves. Aaron and I toughed out the line (only 50 minutes) and had a total blast. He was nervous when we got in the car and then literally screamed from the moment we took off to the moment we were back in the loading area. He even went on it again with Scott (who scored a handy dandy rider switch pass).

After the mine train, we all walked on to the speedway. Aaron chauffeured me and Scott took Jill around the track. Thankfully, I am not suffering from whiplash.

We managed to sneak out after the parade and before the fireworks, so it was a minimal wait to get home. We could not have planned that any better.

I'm loving these moments of fun during the hustle and bustle of daily life. We are definitely lucky and I am beyond thankful.

I hope you had a wonderful fun-filled weekend, too!

Princess Half Marathon Weekend Pt 2 - The Enchanted 10K

Welcome to part two of the Princess Half Marathon Weekend three part extravaganza! Saturday morning was our first of the two races. Naturally, I sparkled for the race.

My Sparkle Skirt is Mouse in the Mix

We were up bright and early at 2:30 a.m. to get ready for the race and make our bus by 3:45. Yes, the race was that early.

The course was pretty cool. We started in the EPCOT parking lot, ran through the toll plaza, made a u-turn, went up the ramp, through the back entrance, around the countries and around the EPCOT resorts before finishing back in the EPCOT parking lot.

Michelle was in the corral behind Cathy, Lorren and myself and I think Lorren and I lost Cathy before mile 1. We did us our code word though to find each other. What was our code, you ask? Oooo-de-lally! Yes, as in Robin Hood.

The screen said "Go Princess Go!"

It was pretty humid that morning, which made it kind of spooky when you ran around the countries. Like I said before, the whole course was great. There were a ton of characters (including Elsa!) and a ton of music to keep you pumped up. Plus, there were a ton of great volunteers that encourage you the whole way. I would like to take this moment to thank the lifeguard at mile 5 or so, you were wonderful and wonderful looking.

Lorren and I finished in 1:32:06 which is my personal best for a 10k. The best part of the finish though was that Scott was there to give us our medals.

Not everyone gets a medal from security.

Cathy and Michelle were not far behind us (I think Michelle actually just finished a few seconds behind with her chip time).  We were able to snag this snazzy photo of all of us after the finish:

The 10k definitely helped with the nerves, but we all knew the big race was the next day. We also knew we couldn't just sit in the hotel all day, so we went to Magic Kingdom for a little fun. That fun included Michelle's first time on Jungle Cruise and the Enchanted Tiki Room.

We headed back to the hotel early, devoured some pasta and were in bed by 6:30. None of us had a hard time falling asleep and before you knew it, it was time for the half!

Be sure to check in tomorrow for part 3!

You've Never Been on Carousel of Progress?!

Since this was the first weekend that nobody was a) sick or b) working, we decided to go to Magic Kingdom for the day. The wait times were not awful and we were able to go on quite a few rides.

The kiddos and Scott went on Carousel of Progress for the first time. I have no idea how Scott has never been on this ride before. No, seriously.  We went on Buzz, the Laugh Floor and the Tomorrowland Speedway after.

Clearly, we worked up an appetite and had to stop for soft serve the size of our heads.

After the soft serve break we walked around the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. This was another attraction that Scott has never visited. I have no idea how this is possible. I'm pretty sure this was the first time for the kids, too. They loved it so much that we walked it twice.

Yes, we walked up and down that flippin' tree house twice.

Then we were back in Fantasyland. Our whole day kind of revolved around our Fastpass Plus. The jury is still out on this for me. That's a lot of pressure when you get up to the kiosk and have to decide what three rides for the day you want a Fastpass for.

Anyway, our next ride was Winnie the Pooh which has always been the kiddos favorite and our final Fastpass was Ariel's under the sea whatever the rest of that super long name is.

The kiddos also went on Dumbo with Scott. I sat that one out. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love that flying elephant, but when the wait time is 25 minutes and all of those people are in the waiting play area, I'm perfectly fine sitting outside in the wide open space with plenty of clean oxygen and minimal screaming people.

The only new downside to the Storybook Circus area is the whole clown thing they have going on over there. No, really. They have an entire band that is dressed up as clowns. I heard the announcement that they were playing and I promptly hightailed it to the flying elephant to wait for them. Thankfully, the timing was perfect and they were about to get on. It also started raining and the clowns were cancelled. I cried zero tears over this.

On the way out we stopped in the Emporium to see what cool new Frozen items they had and guess what? They had zero. Yup, not one single item. They have been sold out for weeks and will not be getting anything in until March. Soooo....Jill settled on a stuffed Marie. The Aristocats is her new favorite, so it was a great substitute.

Marie is officially a member of the family, too. We had to hold hands on the way to the tram. She also has her own blanket and pillow in Jill's bed.

All in all it was a fun day full of a few surprising firsts. I hope all of you had a great weekend as well!

The Duck Should Be In Charge

Yesterday we met up with my brother and his crew at Magic Kingdom. I thought the kids would sleep in that morning, but they were up after 6 asking when we were going. So much for sleeping in....

I had to get them out of the house before they made me bananas, so we stopped by Scott's office. They definitely took over and did a whole bunch of coloring. Now, they didn't leave any photos for Scott to actually put up in his office, but they did color a bunch for their friends (which they then left in the car).

We made our way to the Magic Kingdom not too long after we arrived at Scott's office. The kids pretty much talked the entire car, tram and monorail ride. Thank you to the people around us that thought all of this was adorable.

Kevin and his crew were already in the park when we finally arrived, so we met up with them at the exit for Buzz Lightyear. The kid were convinced that every person walking off the ride was Adam or Meghan or someone else in our group.

When the group finally did come off the ride the kids had no idea it was them. So much for that I guess.

Jill went with the group on the People Mover and Aaron and I sat it out. He has a thing about tunnels lately and since the ride goes through Space Mountain, he decided it was a pass. We just chilled in the shade and watched all the people go by.

Lunch was up next at one of our favorite places, Casey's Corner. If you ask my Dad these are the best hot dogs in pretty much the entire world. They are good, especially the corn dog nuggets (nom nom nom).

We headed over to Fantasyland next, specifically the new area. We have not really explored that area yet because it has been so busy. We went on the new Underwater Adventures with Ariel (or whatever it's called) which was actually pretty adorable.

We made our way over to Dumbo next. I have to say, of all of the renovations to Fantasyland, this was the best. I love that they have an indoor, air conditioned, play area for the kids while we wait. It seems to make the time go by faster, in my opinion.

This was also the first time in I have no idea how long, that I rode Dumbo solo.  Aaron rode with the boys and Jill rode with Meghan's friend Alex.

After Dumbo we took a break in the air conditioning and watched Mickey's Philharmagic. God bless the AC. While the temperature wasn't necessarily high yesterday, the heat index sure was.

Our next stop was Frontierland. We went to the Country Bear Jamboree, which is Kevin's favorite attraction in Magic Kingdom, dare I say all of Disney. After the show the kids had an ice cream break. Aaron had a Mickey bar and by the looks of it, it was delicious.

Next up were the mountains, Big Thunder and Splash, that is. We made it through the whole line of Big Thunder and Aaron decided, nope, not going to have it. So we waited at the exit for the rest of the group. Jill came off the ride with an ear to ear grin and then confessed, "My tummy feels weird." Trust me, I feel the same after that ride!

Next up was Splash Mountain, which we thankfully all had Fastpasses for. Aaron waited in this line with us too and then at the "last chance exit" we made our exit.  He was pretty peeved that we couldn't stand on the bridge in the loading area, but rules are rules after all.

Jillian went on without any hesitation and when she came off she was, again, grinning from ear to ear. Her exact words when she saw me were "Mommy that was so much fun, but look at me! I'm all wet!"

The photo of her on the ride is pretty priceless, you can tell she white knuckling it on the drop.

We decided to split for the day after Splash. Aaron was starting to hit his melting point, and as fun as that is, it was in our best interest to split. My idea was to take the train to the front of the park, however, only one was running and it was a thirty minute wait. Soooo....we walked and took lots of shade and water breaks. We still beat the train, so that's a success in my book.

We made it to the parking lot in what seemed like record time and the kids climbed in their seats, Aaron had the rest of his chocolate graham cracker that seemed to melt on his face, and Jill was pretty much asleep before we pulled out of the parking lot. I think this is one of the quietest car rides I've ever had with them.

The kids had a total blast yesterday and talked about it all night. They are super excited about the day we have planned today and have already gotten on to me for not being showered yet. So on that note, I better run.

Tay Tay and Lorren's Visit!

My sister and niece are in town right now and we were able to spend a good chunk of Sunday with them!

We never told the kids that they were coming because we wanted to see their reaction. Well, what was the reaction? They walked right past them. No, seriously. Then Cathy came over and said hi to them and they finally realized who was there.

The rain let up and we were able to head over to Magic Kingdom. There was hardly anyone in the park so we were able to go on a bunch of rides in a short amount of time.

After the park we had dinner at Kona, which is such a great restaurant! A lot of people go to the Polynesian for O'Hana, but really Kona is far superior.

I wish we had more time to spend with Tay Tay and Lorren while they are in town, but with work and school it's just not happening.

Speaking of school, the kids are doing super in preschool! They actually like doing their homework and everything!

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Ever have one of those weekends?

Ever have one of those weekends that just makes you go, "Wait, what just happened?" This was one of those weekends.

Saturday started out normal, it really did. It was Mimi's birthday, so we took over the yellow cake with chocolate icing (not strawberry cake like Jill wanted) and sang her happy birthday with party hats on.

The kiddos even helped blow out the candles. After some cake and visiting we headed home and then Scott and I had our first date in I don't even know how long. We just walked around Epcot and had a chance to actually have a conversation, without having a 4-year-old (or two) chime in with a comment (read: demand).  This is where the 'normal' part of our weekend essentially ends.

Sunday morning we went off to church to welcome our new pastor. Technically he's a parochial administrator, but po-ta-to pa-tah-to. During the homily while Father is introducing himself I heard a jingling sound, and thinking it was just a baby playing with keys I didn't pay any mind to it until I saw something move on the ground out of the corner of my eye. It was our new pastor's dog, Max. Max walked down the aisle, next to the seats of course so he could get a couple of good scratches in, and then headed back to the pastor's office to catch another nap.  In that moment the kids made up their mind that Father Dave is awesome. It doesn't take much people.

After mass we got ready to head out to the Magic Kingdom to finally celebrate Paw Paw and Mimi's birthdays.  On our way to the park the car in front of us collided with a U-Haul. Scott saw the accident before it even happened and was pretty much parked by the time the cars hit and out the door helping. Now the area the accident happened in is called 4 corners, it's called 4 corners because it's where 4 different counties all border. Normally this is a nonissue, when you have to call 911 and figure out which county you're in, it's an issue. So here I am on the phone and trying to figure out where I am. I know across the street is Osceola but I'm not sure where I am. After the fact I'm reminded that when you look at the road signs it tells you the county. So while I'm staring at the oranges on the road signs I'm reading I should have been able to immediately recognize that I was in Orange County. Duh.

There were no serious injuries, thankfully, with the accident.  Scott was the great hero in my book for jumping out and handling the accident until the police arrived. It ate up an hour and a half of our day, but it was worth it to know that those people were ok.

We finally made it to Magic Kingdom and had a fabulous time. Paw Paw really wanted to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern for his birthday, so that's what we did. The food is always really yummy over there, and even the kids were having seconds. We even managed to get on a few rides while we were there too.

Aside from the strange events on Sunday, we had a great weekend. Hope you had a great one too!

Our Wedding in Photos

Welcome to another wedding week post! Today I'm going to talk about our actual wedding day. I'm not gonna lie, I love talking about our wedding because I thought it was fabulous. So let me walk you through our day with some of my favorite photos.

The guys took photos first over at the Grand Floridian. They actually had to hide in 1900 Park Fare so I could be brought into the hotel after taking photos in the lobby. I think my favorite out of all of them though is this shot of them walking over to the Wedding Pavilion.

While the guys were taking their photos outside we started our photos inside the hotel. I have never felt more amazing or gorgeous in any other outfit I have ever owned. The moment that dress and veil were on me I felt like a princess. I love this photo of me and the girls, we were all laughing the entire time.

After photos we all headed to the Wedding Pavilion. Scott and his guys were inside the main building while me and the girls were in the bride's vestibule. They have the music pipped into the back room so you could hear when everything was happening.

I didn't start getting nervous until only my Dad and I were left in the bride's room. It was in that moment that it finally hit me. The moment the doors opened I didn't see the gorgeous flowers that lined the aisle, I didn't see any of our guests, I only saw Scott. It wasn't until 5 minutes into the ceremony that I even noticed there were flowers in the room. This photo really showcases how beautiful the pavilion was.

I loved the music from our wedding. Our mothers walked in to "The Rose", which is one of my Mom's favorite songs. The guys walked in to "A Gift of Thistle" which is from the movie Braveheart. We couldn't think of a song for them and then one of our wedding planners played it and we loved it. The girls walked in to "Clair de Lune". I cannot fully express my love of this song and my hatred of the fact that it became popular because a sparkly vampire played it on piano (lame). As a cute little surprise we had my niece, who was the flower girl, walk in to "It's a Small World". It was so adorable! Before I walked in the bells chimed to 5 (since it was 5 pm) and then the organist started "Trumpet Voluntary". I wish I had some amazing story behind why I chose this, but truly, I'm not a fan of "Here comes the Bride", and I've always loved this song. When we lit our unity candle we played "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. I get goose bumps just thinking of this song. We walked out to "Hornpipe" another favorite of mine. After the wedding party was out, the organist played the music from the Main Street Electrical Parade. Since Scott and I worked together on Main Street we thought this was perfect!

I also want to share our readings. It took us some time to pick out just the right readings. For our first reading we chose Ruth 1:16-17, which is hands down my favorite verse. My Godmother read this reading, and this was the only time I cried the entire ceremony.

But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. "Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the LORD do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me."

Our second reading was one of the classics, 1 Corinthians 13: 1-8 13. My brother Chris did this reading.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous ; love does not brag and is not arrogant,  does not act unbecomingly ; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,  does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth ;  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails ; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away ; if there are tongues, they will cease ; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Our third (Gospel) reading was John 15: 12-13; 16-17:

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.

Each reading was perfect for us and the ceremony.

Our ceremony was long by Disney standards, but I wouldn't change it at all. I loved what our minister had to say, and I want to share one part of it (I wish I could upload the video of it, but for real that's a whole lot of effort right now). When we were in our premarital counseling our minister told us about the Meeting of the Waters. It's when the Rio Negro meets the Amazon. The Rio Negro is black and the Amazon is a sandy color. At this one point the two rivers meet and mix, at that moment you cannot separate the two, they will always be connected, and you cannot tell where one meets and the other ends. We feel in love with this story and asked him to use it in his sermon.

Aside from the beauty of the story, the black and white aspect of the story is perfect for a wedding.  The bride in white and the groom in black, just like the two rivers. The best man even incorporated this story into his toast, suggesting that I was the Missouri and Scott was...well...the muddy Mississippi.

After the ceremony we took all of our "formal" photos. Scott and I really didn't want formal photos to be the focus of our wedding photos. Of all of the photos that were taken, this is hands down my favorite. I have it in a sepia tone framed in the family room.

The time between the ceremony and the reception was the best. It was a nice quiet ride with Scott to EPCOT and we were able to hang out in a room before having to see everyone. It's nice to have that moment with your new husband without having to focus on anyone else. While we were enjoying our quiet time, all of our guests were on the Isola in Italy enjoying cocktails and appetizers. Keeping the location there was a last minute decision since storm clouds were looming. I'm glad we didn't move it inside, because it was gorgeous. Well, at least I think it was, I wasn't there. I wish I had a photo to share, but alas there are none, just video.

We had our reception at The American Adventure in EPCOT. The room on its own is absolutely breathtaking and did not need a lot of enhancements. Wasn't it gorgeous?!

After introductions we had our first dance and then the best man and maid of honor did their toasts.

Harley was Scott's best man, they've known each other since Scott was a sophomore in high school.

Kristin was my maid of honor, we've been friends since her grandfather knocked on my dorm door and said I had to meet his twin granddaughters down the hall.  She also won bonus points with all of the fraternity brothers for toasting with a beer can.

Scott and I spent most of dinner visiting all of the tables, we were able to sit down as the main course was being served.  We served Caesar salad, Raspberry Sorbet, and a duo plate of filet and chicken. 'Twas delicious.

One of the first "dances" after dinner was to Piano Man. I can't really go into detail on this song and its significance, except to say it's a fraternity thing. Scott and his brothers from Chi Phi (along with us ladies who are with them) all sang and danced to it. This was my first of many Piano Man experiences.

After that I had my dance with my Dad. We danced to Tony Bennett's version of "The Way You Look Tonight".  It took me forever to decide on a song to dance with my Dad to. All of the traditional father/daughter songs sounded corny to me, and I kept hearing this song and knew. I specifically chose the Tony Bennett version because of a story my Dad told me when he and my Mom went to visit my brother at school. They were walking down the hall and Tony Bennett was walking past them, my Dad being my Dad yelled, "Ay Ton-ay!".  It was perfect.

The dancing was full on after this. Scott and his friends were line dancing and we all "danced" to our favorite 80's tunes, all while not dropping a single drink on the dance floor. I was most impressed with that.

I was kind of obsessed with our cake. It was so simple, and yet, amazing.  We had three different flavors of cake. I can't remember what the bottom and top layers were, but the middle layer was chocolate with peanut butter mousse inside. It was like eating a peanut butter cup.

We did the bouquet after the cake, and not so surprisingly the lucky lady that caught it, Bonnie, actually was married two years later. The garter toss was far more entertaining. Scott was on edge all day that my brothers were going to do something. He forgot about my Dad. When Scott went to get the garter he asked Harley to watch my brothers, well out of left field he comes my Dad. My brothers followed closely behind and Scott paid them off. Apparently the going rate for me is $60.

My nephew, Alex, caught the garter. Also, no drinks were spilled, another victory.

The next tradition was a family tradition. In most Polish and/or Croatian families, the mother of the bride removes her daughters veil and then places an apron around her waist with babies on it (it sounds messed up wearing an apron with babies on it, but it's really a sweet tradition).  My Mom did it at her wedding and I knew I wanted to do it at mine. My Mom's apron had 6 babies on it and she went on to have 6 kids. She wouldn't tell me how many babies were on mine until I saw it that night. Mine also had 6 babies. I'm not using that as a goal though. I think Scott's expression sums it up.

The rest of the night was perfect. Lots of dancing, lots of laughs, and time that went by far too quickly.

Before we knew it, our wedding planner was ushering us out of the American Adventure and over to the pier to get on Breathless.  We were trying to decide how we wanted to leave the reception and we knew we didn't just want to get into a town car and drive to the Boardwalk. Scott remembered the boat Breathless, it was Walt's boat.  Our wedding planner was just as excited as we were about leaving this way, he said he didn't know of anyone else doing it. Sold!

Trying to get in this boat though while wearing a wedding dress is a site to see. Then the driver had to push the boat from the dock and jump onto it. It was like James Bond.

We buzzed past our wedding guests a few times and then took a nice boat ride through the resort areas. The driver said he was going to make a scene before docking at the Boardwalk and even though I begged him not to, he did. He made a huge scene. If you have ever been to the Boardwalk, I'm sure you know how busy it is on a Saturday night.

We only spent a few hours in our room at the Boardwalk because we were taking photos the next morning at the Magic Kingdom.

Our whole day was amazing and people still talk about it. I cannot tell you how lucky I am to have met and married my best friend and husband at Disney. It really is the stuff dreams are made of!
