Thanksgiving Thursday

For those of you that don't know what Thanksgiving Thursday is, it is the one time during the week where you stop and basically count your blessings. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small.

This week I am thankful for:
  • Scott who is doing amazing things that I will appreciate more than he knows.
  • Aaron and the silly things he says. Also the fact that he still gives me big bear hugs (we call them Aaron hugs), I know this won't last for long.
  • Jill who, even though we had a really rough day yesterday, can be so sweet and hilarious.
  • Our parents that sat on the computer for 2 hours with me trying to secure the last 5 Disney Designer Dolls with me. It's definitely 2 hours we will never get back....ever.
  • My Dad having a fabulous birthday yesterday.
  • My niece hopefully having a fabulous birthday today.
  • Apple refunded all the purchases ($152 worth) made by the geek that hacked my iTunes account. Trust me, there is a post coming on this one.
  • My Keurig, for real. How did I live without this thing?
What are you thankful for this week?

Thanksgiving Thursday

For those of you that don't know what Thanksgiving Thursday is, it is the one time during the week where you stop and basically count your blessings. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small.

This week I am thankful for:
  • Nothing breaking this week (KNOCK ON WOOD!).
  • Scott and everything has done this past week. Love you babe!
  • Us not killing each other in the wake of everything breaking and overflowing and coming up where it shouldn't.
  • Aaron who makes me laugh when I really need to laugh. He even makes me laugh when he's not supposed to.
  • Jill calming down enough to enjoy religious ed this week. It was a little rough at drop off.
  • Religious Ed and the wonderful teachers! They've only had their first class, but I love it. Seriously, there is nothing better than listening to your kiddos sing "He's got the whole world in His hands".
  • My parents, who are awesome, and are always there to listen, or laugh.
  • Skype, it allows my kiddos to dance with Tay Tay to Run DMC's "Tricky".
  • My Keurig, it's awesome and I don't think I can ever go back.
What are you thankful for this week? Leave it in the comment section or link up below!

Whoever said Rule of 3 is a Liar.

So I've always been taught that things happen in 3's. Chances are if something breaks, two more things will follow. I'm hear to tell you that's a load of crap. From my calculations I'm over 3 by at least 2. Here's the timeline:
  1. Toilet in our bathroom overflows, the entire inside of the tank needs to be replaced.
  2. Toilet in the kids bathroom won't flush and sewage is now coming up the bathtubs. Roots are in the pipes causing this problem.
  3. Explorer won't start, turns out the engine is pretty much shot.
  4. Coffee pot is not brewing full pots and spills water out all over the place. Essentially it has been on life support for a month now and it cannot be resuscitated, pronounced dead at 8 am. I did honor the proper mourning period and waited until that night to get a new coffee pot. And yes, I went for a younger, hotter, model (What up Keurig?!).
  5. Dishwasher stops working mid cycle, lights will not turn on and there is water in the bottom. (this happened last night)
See...rule of 3 my behind. When the coffee pot went Scott and I assumed that maybe the whole plumbing problem was looped into one, but I say bs, it's all separate. I'm debating having our house exorcised blessed and maybe that will help. Thoughts?
