I think there is an alligator in the bush

Last night we met up with our friends at their timeshare to hang out. The kiddos all get along so well and I love when we have moments to just hang out. Our friend Kelly joined us for a little bit as well.

The kiddos spent a good chunk of time running around outside looking for alligators. They weren't going to find any, but we thought it was cute that they were trying to find one.

I managed to snap this adorable photo as well of Dawn's girls and Jill:

Seriously, how adorable is this photo?

We are slowly settling into our weekend. This past week went fairly well considering the huge scheduling change. I'm hoping it continues next week!

Have a great holiday weekend!

Osbourne Family Lights

Saturday we went with 5 of the B6 to Hollywood Studios for the day to see the shows and finally the Osbourne Family Lights. Last year we all went to EPCOT to see the lights and the weather was awful. Thankfully this year the weather was gorgeous!

Since the B5 had never been to the Studios our plan was to do as much as possible, which with all of the shows can be challenging. Not to mention 5 kids under the age of 5. Our first stop was Lights, Motors, Action. My kiddos love this show and we hadn't seen it since they added Lightning McQueen to it. Aaron happened to catch a peek of Lightning before the show and he could barely contain himself.

Everyone (especially the Dads) loved the show! It was a great start to the day and was quickly followed by lunch as we could tell everyone's blood sugar was dropping and meltdowns were about to start, same for the kids. After lunch we went on the Backlot Tour.
I honestly cannot tell you the last time that I went on this ride, but a lot has changed. Aaron was a huge fan of this ride because it is essentially a tram, and after all that is why you go to Disney, to ride a tram. After the ride we found Mike from Monsters Inc and took a moment to meet him.

Aaron backed out at the last minute and Jill suddenly became shy. Can I mention that the whole time in line they were beyond excited to meet him. 'Twas awesome. After this side trip we went and saw The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Dawn's girls LOVE Ariel so I think I was more excited to see how they reacted to the show. Emma hands down had the biggest smile I've ever seen and Ellina had her scrunched up really excited smile too. I had to laugh during the show though because Pearce kept asking if it was a long show and when it would be over. Amen kid, I feel ya.

We had some time to kill before the Beauty and the Beast show so we went on the Great Movie Ride. While standing in line the little girl behind us started to meltdown a little and Dawn was admiring her (she was pretty cute). The Dad laughed and said "Makes you want to have another, huh?" and Dawn said "Yes, actually it does." The look on the man's face was PRICELESS. He even said you normally don't get that reaction. That family stared at all of us like we were crazy people the whole ride. I probably would too, I mean we did have 5 kids under 5 and weren't drinking. As a side note, Ellina was plastered into my side this whole ride and wanted to know why I took her on that creepy thing. I love her.

We made it just in time for the Beauty and the Beast show, which is hands down my kids favorite show. Again, I was more excited about watching the B5 kids and they did not disappoint. They were all so excited as were Dawn and I. Dys and Scott were glued to their phones and saying things like "LSU is a second half team."

The best part of the show was at the end when all the dancers come out because Ellina had this look like, "What the hell, this wasn't in the movie!". Priceless people, priceless.

We went to Fantasmic right after and just made the 6:30 show. Again, my kids loved the show and Ellina was plastered into my side saying things like "Can you cover my eyes?" and "Why is the witch doing that?".

After Fantasmic we went into the Osbourne Lights, you know the whole reason we went to the park. It was pretty crowded, but we also went around when it began.

The kids loved the lights, especially Pearce. We were in there long enough to see the lights dance a few times, which is always fun. We even managed to snag a pretty adorable family photo, minus the woman behind Scott. What's with that face, right?

We had all hit our magical limit after the lights and started making our way towards the exit. It was an awesome day with our friends and the kids were asking if we could do it again before we even left the parking lot. It was shortly followed by this:

I am so glad we got to have the day with the B5, they are such an awesome family and we love having them in our lives!

The Blessing

Sunday Scott and I planned to be remarried in the church. When we were married 5 1/2 years ago we married at Disney, which the Catholic Church does not marry at. At the time it was not an issue for us, Scott wasn't Catholic and I was what you would consider a 'Chreaster' meaning I only went on Christmas and Easter. However, now it is really important for us to have our marriage recognized. Sunday we received a special blessing and plan to set up our marriage for after the first of the year.

It was nice having so many people close to us there. My parents, my in-laws, our friends the B6 and then many of our Knights and Columbiette's friends were there as well. I don't have any photos from mass, but I finally remembered to take photos at lunch after mass. We all went to Maggiano's and it was fantastic (as always). Jill even got to ride there with her friends, which she thought was just beyond awesome.

Yes, I failed to get a photo of Scott and I on this special day. Score one for me :(

Thank you to everyone that was there, it meant so much to us to have you there with us!

Partying with the B6

Our friends, the B6, have a timeshare near our house and stayed there for the holiday weekend so we were able to pay them a visit today. It's so nice having them only minutes away instead of over an hour away!
The kids had so much fun playing and possibly jumping on the beds. Even though the original plan of swimming was canceled due to the weather, it was just as great sitting around and talking. Thanks again for having us over!

Thanksgiving Thursday

For those of you that don't know what Thanksgiving Thursday is, it is the one time during the week where you stop and basically count your blessings. Even if you've had one of those weeks, I promise you can find at least one thing to be thankful for, no matter how big or small.

This week I am thankful for:
  • Scott having a four day weekend last weekend. It was a nice break, and even though we didn't do all that much, it was nice to have a break and relax.
  • Aaron, who is in love with our dog right now. He about had a total breakdown when Scott took her for her "spa" day.
  • Jill, my budding artist. Between painting (her face blue), stamping and coloring, I may have my own art museum by the end of the week.
  • Family no matter if they are near or far (cue Celine Dion: Wherever you arrrrreeeeeeeee).
  • An amazing dinner out with the Billings and then another great dinner with Dawn on Tuesday.
  • Tax free weekend, it was awesome.

  • Certain opportunities not working out, ultimately there is a reason and maybe that reason is that something bigger and better is coming.
What are you thankful for? You can leave your thoughts in the comment section or link up to your own post.

Mama I ride the horse!

Yesterday we went to our friends, the B6, birthday party. They had it at farm that rescues horses. The kids had a blast riding the horses!

I can't remember how many times Aaron went around, but he LOVED it! He even talked to the horses the entire time. Jill was a little apprehensive at first, but she rode a few times and loved it each time.

Thanks so much to the B6 for inviting us and to the people at Dubar's Corner for making it a great day!

Playdates and a nose update

We've had a very busy day so far. This morning the B6 girls came over for a playdate. It was so great seeing Dawn and the girls, we haven't seen them since before Christmas!

Aaron was definitely outnumbered today, ya think?

I went to the doctor yesterday about my nose and she seems to think that it's fractured. I have an appointment next week with an ENT to have them look at it and determine what we're going to do from there. It's making running difficult right now and I'm just really hoping this doesn't mean I can't do the half marathon at the end of February. My face is really starting to get puffy around my nose and I've started getting black and blue under my eyes. It's not a pretty sight at all.

Hope everyone is having a great day and staying warm!

Mommy and Me Monday with the B6

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?
Hosted by Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

Yesterday we met up with the B6 (technically B5) at EPCOT to have lunch and see all of the decorations. I really wish the weather had been better, it was definitely a little soggy, and a lot colder, than I would have liked.

We had lunch back at the Biergarten in Germany. I love this place, and if you know me you will be shocked because I hate buffet. However, this is a buffet that is soooooo worth it. Lunch was really yummy and dessert was even better. They have a Bavarian Cheesecake that is out of this world. I'm going to try and make it at some point.

After lunch we all just hung out and did a few rides. Scott and I were still beat from the ER visit from the night before so we decided to head out, but not before snapping this group photo:

We had a really great time yesterday and hope the B6 did as well!

*I included this as a Mommy and Me Monday because it's two MoM's (Moms of Multiples) with all of their kiddos, and their other "babies" lol! Be sure to play along with Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

Our weekend so far...

The other night we met up with my brother and sister in law at the Magic Kingdom. I am a total sucker for this park, it's where Scott and I met.

When we got there we headed over to Frontierland to see our friend Lauren perform in the hoedown. Jilly even got to be a part of it! (Please pardon the video, it was hard to keep up with such a small little girl)

Thanks again Lauren!

We just kind of hung out after that. We went on the Carousel, Snow White, People Mover and Laugh Floor. The kids love the Carousel, always have.

And they got to sit like big kids on the People Mover. What was funny with this was that at one point Jill was leaning over yelling "Dzia Dzio! Where are you?! Dzia Dzio!!!" which further convinced me that she believes my parents live in Disney World.

We even got to catch the parade. Since we would be waiting for at least 45 minutes we got the kiddos their favorite treat, Mickey Mouse shaped Rice Krispie Treats:

The Main Street Electrical Parade is still going on, which is wonderful because it is hands down our favorite. I remember seeing it as a child and my kiddos seem to like it more than Spectromagic. All in all it was a great night!

Last night we went over to our friends the B6 to celebrate the end of summer. Thankfully the weather cooled off to fit the theme of the party, how nice of you Mother Nature! As always it was a great night with great food and great friends!

Hope you're having just as good of a weekend!

Thanksgiving Thursday

This week I am thankful for:
  • Scott making my coffee (he reminds me at least once a day that he makes me my coffee...every day). It is some pretty good stuff though.
  • Moments like this:
  • Aaron telling me he loves me too every time I say "I love you Aaron!"
  • Jill learning to just go ahead and put herself in time out. Seriously. Yesterday she did something (probably to Aaron) and when I went to tell her "no" she walked over to the corner and stood there.
  • Morning tea time:
  • Phone conversations with my MOM when she's still coming out of anesthesia. Hilarious, seriously hilarious.
  • Phone conversations with my MOM when she's on pain pills, equally hilarious.
  • Fantastic family and friends that surround us!
  • A great dinner with my brother Chris and sister in law Pam last night:
  • Our upcoming Greek dinner with the B6. I'm equally thankful that I'm just in charge of the salad :) oh and dessert.
  • Acing my first college paper in years (seriously, years). I got a 90%, hollar!
  • The fabulous Liz Lyons, for being, well fabulous.
  • The west coast feed of the Disney Channel, it's awesome.
What are you thankful for this week?

Saturday Night Fun

Yesterday we spent the afternoon/evening with our friends the B6. They had us over for an awesome cookout and some pool time. I have to tell you this is the first time I've gone somewhere and not worried that my kids were going to destroy everything around them. They immediately started playing with the other kids and it was just an awesome night.

I also tried a new wine, it's a brand called Cupcake. Dawn has definitely made a client out of me. It was sooooo yummy! Maybe too yummy because it was gone pretty quick?
Like I said, it was a great, relaxing and fun night! Thanks again to the B6 for a great night! Cannot wait to do it again!
