I have an awesome bacterial infection going on that is causing serious pressure in my sinuses, ears and also giving me a sexy Kathleen Turner rasp in my voice. I stayed home yesterday thinking I could totally sleep this off and down some antibiotics. I woke up this morning thinking I could totally handle 8-5 at work. Boom. Let's do this.
Sooooo I wasn't even at work 30 minutes and two people said I looked rough and should go home. Really? I thought I looked better today. Apparently today I looked like death and yesterday what? A zombie? Possibly. I was determined to charge on.
Then I ran upstairs to drop off some paperwork and after one look had someone tell me to go home. Yup...that settled it.
It was the best decision of my day though. I spent my afternoon snoozing on the couch, which is always a win for a bacterial infection.
Now, let's just hope this clears up before the race on Saturday.
I have felt pretty crappy since Friday (in all reality I would say Wednesday, but I pretended I was fine), so I really haven't left the couch. So what does one do when they are on the couch all day from Friday until Sunday? Watch Lifetime movies.

I've watched movies about incest and a blind cousin learning about it, dance instructors that become stalkers because they are really in love with the daughter not the mother, amnesia with a side of crazy boyfriend/fiance and the pièce de résistance....a movie about a woman escaping the fundamentalist Mormon camp. (The movie is called In God's Country in case you want to DVR it)
How does this happen? How do you find yourself catching the end of one movie and then getting sucked into four others? I blame the cold medicine. Yes, it was the cold medicine.
I think Aaron has finally kicked the stomach bug he had. The last time he was sick was Thursday night, so I'm thinking we're done. At least, I hope so.
We've laid pretty low because of the whole "bug" thing, but on Sunday we hung out with my friend Jenn and her son. The kids all play so well together and I love the time I get to spend with my friend.
After dinner we went outside with the kids and tried out the new swings. It has been so beautiful outside, we in Florida call it "Fall-ish", it would have been foolish to not take advantage of the weather.
Scott's home sick today, I'm really hoping he doesn't have what Aaron had. I think he may just be exhausted from the past couple of weeks. Needless to say I will be Lysoling the house once again. Yuck...
The last few days are a fog to say the least. I have no idea what I have, but I do know it bites, big time. It started in my chest with a nasty cough that burned, and now my nose is like a leaky faucet. It makes no sense! My poor nose is all red now, I look like Rudolph :( Scott stayed home Monday and Tuesday to watch the kids so I could try and sleep it off. What would I do without him??? Unfortunately, Aaron started coughing tonight, so I need to watch him and make sure he doesn't have whatever this is. Speaking of Aaron, the poor boy... We had a really REALLY bad storm come through last night and it woke him up. He was scared of the thunder/lightening (so was I) so he sat on the couch with us for awhile until the storm passed. Jill can sign "more" now! I love watching her sign! It is just so adorable! Her (and Aaron's) favorite is dog though. Funny story about that, yesterday PawPaw came down to take Morgan to the vet and Jill was not having it! After they left she ran to the door and was crying and pounding on the door and signing dog. It literally took 5 minutes to finally calm her down. Seriously she doesn't get that upset when Scott and I leave, what does that say? Both kids were happen when Morgan came back and therefore did not need afternoon naps (that's logical, right?). Here are some photos and video from the past few days...
