2010 in Review

I can't believe it's the last day of 2010! For some reason 2010 went by a whole lot faster than any other year I remember. Today's post is going to be more of a reflection on the year gone by. Let's start with the things I wanted to see stay in 2009, shall we?

  1. Jon and Kate: Sigh, only Jon has seemed to really fade into the background. Kate was on Dancing with the Stars, got to be thisclose to Jon Hamm-alicious at the Emmys and formed one half of the axis of evil with the #5 thing I wanted to see disappear.
  2. The war on terror: Yeah, this isn't going anywhere anytime soon, is it?
  3. Swine Flu: I have no idea, is this gone? Or controlled? I haven't seen it on the news.
  4. 80's fashion: Um considering "jeggings" are in, I'm thinking the 80's are here for a little while longer (cue that song from Dirty Dancing "Ooooh won't you stayyyyyyyy just a little bit longerrrrrrrrrrr")
  5. A certain former governor that claims global warming, you know, isn't real: Ugh....she got a book deal, a job with Fox (I'm leaving this one alone), a reality show where she hunts and camps and learns how to kill a bear with Kate Gosselin (who maybe should have dressed up like a bear in that episode? Just sayin...) and her daughter was on Dancing with the Stars. Unfortunately, unless Russia, which she can see from her house, does us a favor, we're stuck with this one.
So those were kind of a bust, huh? I'm not making a list for 2011 because it seems my list for 2010 only seemed to increase the likelihood of these things continuing. 2010 was a pretty awesome year though, even if those 5 things were in it.

Instead of writing about my favorite memories from 2010, I've decided to...well...cheat and put up a list of links to some of my favorite posts. Here goes:

Everything I know I learned from Anderson Cooper
Staycation Vacation
It's a nice day for a White wedding
If my marriage can survive...
On this day in 2008...
And then I began to sweat...
Our anniversary
The Magical World of Disney
My real life Jerry Springer experience
The most epic of fails....
I got my toes in the water...
The day I lost my Mommy card
Why would your MOM send the kids an animal carcass?
The one where I called Poison Control
Hoop Dee Doo
Our Christmas

I truly hope 2010 has been an awesome year for you, and here's to 2011 being even better! Be safe tonight!

Biggest Accomplishment of 2009

A lot has happened this year, seriously, a lot. There is so much to be thankful for, and so much to be proud of. Over at Multiples and More today we are asking what is your biggest accomplishment of 2009 and biggest goal for 2010. Sooooo....here goes:

I've had a lot of accomplishments this year. Professionally it would have to be Multiples and More. It has been a labor of love for Lani and I and I could not be prouder of how much we have accomplished. I never thought then we would be where we are and that we would have the opportunities that we have had. I can only hope that 2010 will be as great, if not better than 2009!

Personally there is a lot that I am proud of. I think hands down my biggest accomplishment is having two happy, healthy, and very intelligent children. I've been very lucky with them, and count those blessings daily. My goal with them for 2010 is to survive the terrible two's :), and expand their signing vocabulary.

Let us know what your goals and accomplishments are over at Multiples and More!
